Travel clinics are held on the third Tuesday of the month and there are a limited number of appointments available. You can book an appointment on line, from 1.8.19, however you will need to complete and hand in a completed travel form within 48 hours of booking an appointment. If this does not happen the appointment will be cancelled. Thank you for your co-operation.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS - these include Hepatitis B and Meningitis ACWY vaccinations
Travelling to Pakistan
There is some concern that due to falling vaccination rates that there could be an outbreak of Polio. Travellers that are visiting the country for 4 weeks or more may be asked to provide proof of vaccination against Polio within the last 12 months. The surgery can provide you with a International Certificate of vaccination at a cost of £5 per person. For further information please discuss this with the practice nurse at your appointment.
